Cosette flopped into her bed. What a mind-blowing day! She was sure to be dead by the end of the week. She ran away from a nice girl, lost half of her music, did a few face-plants, and found that the computer in her room was a dilapidated PC. At least she could IM and update her blog from it. But worst of all...
Jason Gray? Here?! It figures! The only boy she'd ever been in love with, teaching at Camp Rock! How would she be able to survive his classes? And what if she... what if she ran into him outside of them?! She'd faint! Or die.
Maybe that wouldn't be so bad.
Cosette looked around. There was no one else in her cabin. Good so far. Maybe she'd have some peace and quiet... here, of all places, where she expected nothing but stickers and ponies and jellybeans...
Cosette went through her bags and found what she was looking for - Penny Arcade, volume three. Comic books were the last resort for calming frazzled nerves, and nothing did it better than the nerd oevure that was PA. Cosette laid back on her bed and began to read.

Mitchie stumbled in, her bags at hand. Oddly, she wasn't sure yet where to settle in, as Director Brown gave her the liberty to choose between the cook's cabin, where her mom stayed, and the girls' cabin, where most female campers slept. For the moment, she decided to check them out first before deciding.
She regained her posture, after almost losing her balance, and straightened herself out, momentarily placing the bags on the floor. She took a good look at the room, taking notice of the beds, the coats of paint on the walls, and then her eyes landed on someone she hadn't expected to be there.
It was the girl from the Entrance! Mitchie suddenly felt flushed, and fidgeted nervously, not sure whether to scram or stay put and introduce herself.
"Uh....sorry. Did I catch you at a bad time?" Mitchie started, now clutching on her duffel bags. "I-I'm Mitchie, by the way. I believe you're new?" she added nervously, followed by a small wave.

Cosette was so startled that she clutched the comic book to her chest, covering up her pretty much hanging out bosom. She thought she was going to be alone for a while! Most everyone else was eating. Cosette then realized that this was one of the pretty brunette girls she'd seen at the entrance. How was THAT for totally awkward? Cosette bit her lip, praying to God that she'd be able to form a coherent sentence.
"...No, you... you didn't..." Cosette murmured before turning bright red and burying her face in the book. A blur of color greeted her. Trying to read the book was going to be pointless. Cosette put her book down, lacing up her blouse quickly. She was so clumsy that she barely managed to get it together before figuring out she'd tied the blouse to her pants.
Cosette frowned.
"I'm sorry... I'm... I'm... I'm really shy," Cosette confessed, as if it was a sin.

Mitchie felt sheepish, as she watched the new girl fidget around, and later be frustrated at herself. As much as possible she wanted her to feel welcome, as to alleviate the guilt she felt, just barging in. The poor girl was probably freaked out by her. Ugh, Mitchie, you are such a klutz.
"I'm sorry, I should've knocked and--" Mitchie cut herself off, when she saw the girl's comic book. Hopefully they'd have something now in common. Nobody really knew that she read comic books, especially those with weird toilet humor.
"Hey, is that Penny Arcade?" Mitchie asked, a grin now slapped on her face. Her eyes flickered onto the misplaced lace. "Would you want me to help you?" Mitchie added, as she gestured on the lace that was accidentally tied to the girl's pants, hoping that she wouldn't mistranslate her help or anything.

Cosette gaped at the pretty girl - Mitchie. She knew what Penny Arcade was? Not only that, she didn't get mad at her for liking it? She seemed delighted to see it. Cosette nodded quickly, still trying to do up the lace on her bodice. Mitchie, feeling pity, took the lace and helped Cosette redo her blouse. Cosette tied the lace into a pretty little bow, smiling weakly at the girl above her.
"I'm sorry... I-I'm very... very shy," Cosette murmured again. She looked down at her book, abandoned in favor of the shirtlace. "You know... you know Penny Arcade?"
Cosette was a little amazed that Mitchie even knew about it. No one at her school read it at all, despite the fact that it was one of the most popular webcomics of all time. Cosette went to a crappy school anyway. The only people worth talking to were in the choir.
"...Are you... you my r-roommate? Because you... you could probably switch if... if I'm too much of a... a freak."

Vanessa wandered around the cabins until she found hers. She dragged her luggage along the ground into the cabin. There she noticed two girls. She stopped into her tracks. She didn't know who these girls were.
"Um...I'm Vanessa." Vanessa said. She wasn't one to normally get shy but this weren't like her friends from Detroit. Who knows what they thought of her just by looking at her? What would they think? She walked to the bed closest to her and started unloading her clothes.....

Cosette winced. Another girl. This one looked very street-wise, not to mention she was just as pretty as Mitchie. Cosette turned to Mitchie, a bit scared, then to the new girl.
"Hi. I'm... I'm Cosette," Cosette managed to say before her voice squeaked. Brilliant, now this girl would certainly find her to be a freak. Cosette reached for Penny Arcade, but knocked it to the ground. She let out a scared squeal, a frustrated grunt, and a low sigh.
Cosette turned to Mitchie with a shy smile on her face before going for the book.

"Um...hello...Cosette..." Vanessa replied to the obviously scared girl. Vanessa stared as the girl fumbled with her hands and dropped her book, making squeals along the way. "What'cha readin'?" Vanessa asked. They better get used to the way she talks.
